Sync Slack conversations into Delegate and send notifications back to Slack from tasks and meetings.

#What the Slack integration does

  • Syncs important Slack messages into your Delegate inbox feed
  • Allows you to send task updates and meeting invites as Slack messages
  • Creates tasks from Slack messages with a one-click shortcut
  • Sends AI Copilot summaries and daily digests to a designated Slack channel

#Connecting Slack

Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack

Click Connect Slack.

Authorize in Slack

You'll be redirected to Slack's OAuth page. Select the workspace you want to connect and click Allow.

Choose channels to sync

Back in Delegate, select which Slack channels to monitor. We recommend starting with your primary team channel.
ℹ️Note
Delegate can only read messages from public channels and private channels it's explicitly invited to.

#Creating tasks from Slack

In Slack, hover over any message, click the More actions menu (…), and select Create Delegate Task. The message text becomes the task description and you can set the due date and assignee directly from Slack.

💡Tip
You can also @-mention the Delegate bot in any channel it belongs to and type: @Delegate create task: [description]

#Notification settings

Configure which Delegate events trigger Slack notifications under Settings → Integrations → Slack → Notifications:

  • Task assigned to you
  • Meeting invitation received
  • AI Copilot daily digest
  • Urgent email flagged
