Workspace Setup

Customize your workspace, invite teammates, and configure settings for your team.

#What is a Workspace?

A workspace is your team's home in Delegate. It contains all your projects, tasks, meetings, knowledge, and integration settings. You can belong to multiple workspaces with a single account.

  • Personal workspace — created automatically when you sign up
  • Team workspace — shared with collaborators, available on Pro and Team plans

#Configuring your workspace

1

Open Workspace Settings

Click the workspace name in the top-left of the sidebar, then select Settings.
2

Update name and branding

Set your workspace name and optionally upload a logo. This appears throughout the app and in email notifications.
3

Set your timezone

Delegate uses your workspace timezone for scheduling, task due dates, and meeting times. Set it to match your primary team location.

#Inviting team members

On Pro and Team plans you can invite collaborators:

1

Go to Settings → Members

Click Members in the workspace settings sidebar.
2

Enter email addresses

Type the email(s) of the people you want to invite and choose their role — Admin, Member, or Guest.
3

Send invitations

Click Send Invite. Teammates receive an email with a magic link. They'll be added to your workspace once they accept.
ℹ️Note
Guests have read-only access to shared projects and cannot see private tasks or personal inbox data.

#Roles and permissions

  • Owner — full control, billing management, can delete the workspace
  • Admin — manage members, integrations, and workspace settings
  • Member — create and edit tasks, meetings, and projects
  • Guest — view-only access to shared resources

#Projects and scopes

Organize your work into Projects. Each project can have clients, scopes, and its own member set. Navigate to Projects in the sidebar to create your first project.

Projects support custom tags, priority levels, and can be linked to calendar events and meetings.

💡Tip
Use projects to separate client work. You can restrict project visibility so only assigned members see it.
