Create and track tasks across your entire workspace — with AI extraction, subtasks, and smart prioritization.
#Overview
Tasks in Delegate are more than a to-do list. They can be extracted from emails, linked to meetings, assigned to team members, broken into subtasks, and tracked across projects — all in one place.
#Creating tasks
There are several ways to create a task:
- Quick add — press
Tanywhere in the app, or click New Task in the sidebar - From an email — open any email and click Create Task to auto-fill title, due date, and context
- From a meeting — action items detected in meeting notes are auto-converted to tasks
- From AI suggestions — the Copilot proactively creates tasks based on your email and calendar
#Task fields
- Title — short, action-oriented description
- Description — rich text with markdown support
- Due date — date and optional time
- Priority — Urgent, High, Medium, Low
- Assignee — any workspace member
- Project — link to a project for tracking
- Labels — custom tags for filtering
- Subtasks — nested checklist items
- Comments — threaded discussion on the task
#Organizing with views
Tasks can be viewed in three modes:
- List — flat list grouped by priority, due date, or project
- Board — Kanban columns (To Do, In Progress, Done, Blocked)
- Calendar — tasks overlaid on your calendar by due date
#AI prioritization
The AI Copilot analyzes due dates, email urgency signals, and your past behavior to suggest a daily task priority order. Look for the AI Order toggle in the task list to enable it.
AI-suggested tasks from your email and calendar appear in the AI Suggestions queue. Review and approve them with one click.
#Delegating tasks with AI agents
On Pro and Team plans, you can delegate tasks to AI agents. An agent can research, draft documents, send responses, or coordinate with external services — all on your behalf.
Open a task, click Delegate to AI, select an agent profile, and describe the goal. The agent reports back through the task's comment thread.
