General

What is Delegate?

Delegate is an AI-powered workspace hub that unifies your email, calendar, tasks, meetings, and conversations in one place. Instead of juggling 10+ separate tools, you get a single intelligent workspace that connects everything and uses AI to help you stay focused on the work that matters.

How does the AI work?

Delegate uses large language models (Claude by Anthropic by default, with support for OpenAI and others) to analyze your emails, extract action items from meeting transcripts, suggest task priorities, and surface relevant context at the right time. The AI learns from your workspace activity but never trains on your data — everything stays private.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan gives you full access to the core workspace — tasks, meetings, conversations, and calendar — plus up to 5,000 email operations per month. AI features and advanced integrations are included on all paid plans starting at $4.99/month.

Do I need to install anything?

Nope. Delegate runs entirely in your browser as a web app. If you want a native iOS experience, you can install the app via Capacitor — but it's optional. Everything works the same on desktop and mobile through the web.

Section 02

Billing

How do I upgrade my plan?

Go to Settings → Billing, choose the plan that fits your needs, and click Upgrade. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout. Upgrades take effect immediately and you're prorated for any remaining time on your current billing cycle.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. You'll retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported on compatible devices. For enterprise plans, we can arrange invoice-based billing — contact us to arrange.

Is there an annual billing discount?

Yes. Choosing annual billing saves you 20% compared to month-to-month. You can switch to annual billing at any time from Settings → Billing and receive a prorated credit for your unused monthly days.

Section 03

Features

Which email providers does Delegate support?

Currently Delegate supports Gmail and Google Workspace accounts via the official Gmail API. We're actively working on support for Microsoft Outlook / Exchange and IMAP-based providers. Sign up for updates to be notified when your provider is supported.

Can I self-host Delegate?

Yes. Delegate is designed to run on your own infrastructure using Docker Compose. You'll need a PostgreSQL database, your own API keys for the services you want to connect, and about 5 minutes to follow the setup guide. Full self-hosting instructions are in our documentation.

How many integrations are included?

Delegate ships with integrations for Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Tasks, Google Meet, Notion (with bi-directional sync), and Slack — plus OpenClaw for AI agent delegation. The MCP server layer makes it straightforward to connect additional tools on self-hosted deployments.

Can I bring my own AI model?

Yes. You can configure any OpenAI-compatible model, Anthropic Claude, or any model available through OpenRouter directly in Settings → AI Providers. This means you can swap the default model for GPT-4, Mistral, Llama, or any other model your team prefers — no vendor lock-in.

Section 04

Security

Where is my data stored?

On our cloud plan, all data is stored in PostgreSQL databases hosted in the EU (Frankfurt region) with automated daily backups and point-in-time recovery. Self-hosted deployments store all data on infrastructure you fully control. We never copy, sell, or share your data.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest using AES-256. OAuth tokens used for third-party integrations are stored encrypted in the database. We're implementing an additional envelope encryption layer for sensitive credentials — check our roadmap for the timeline.

Is Delegate GDPR compliant?

Yes. Delegate is built with GDPR compliance as a core architectural requirement. We act as a data processor on your behalf, maintain a data processing agreement (DPA) available on request, support the right to erasure (delete your account and all associated data at any time), and data portability (export everything in JSON format).

Section 05

Integrations

How does the Google Workspace integration work?

Connect your Google account once via OAuth and Delegate gains access to Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, Tasks, and Meet — all with your explicit permission scopes. Data syncs incrementally using Google's push notification webhooks, so your workspace stays up to date in real time without polling.

Does the Notion integration support two-way sync?

Yes. Delegate's Notion integration features a full bi-directional sync engine with conflict detection and resolution. Tasks created in Delegate can sync to Notion databases, and updates made in Notion flow back to Delegate. You control which databases are mapped and which direction changes flow.

Can I connect Slack?

Yes. The Slack integration lets you view channel messages and conversations directly within Delegate and sync relevant Slack threads as conversations. Full two-way messaging (sending from Delegate to Slack) is on the roadmap for Q2 2026.
